Suicide and Self-Harm
If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, click the button below and call/ text a crisis responder to get help without judgment. If you have a suicide plan and are ready to follow through, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Domestic Violence
If you are a woman experiencing gender based violence or relationship abuse, there is help for you. Counselling and coordination services are free and provided by phone or video to help you figure out your options.

Addictions
If you struggle with a substance, gambling or video game addiction, there is help for you. Services such as addictions counselling, withdrawal management and walk-in support are free for anyone with a valid Ontario health card.

Emergency Shelter for Women and Children
If you and your children are experiencing physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse of any kind from your partner, and wish to go to a safe place, emergency shelter is available.

Emergency Shelter for Families
If you are a family facing homelessness, temporary accommodations through a variety of motels across Durham Region may be available.

Emergency Shelter for Youth
If you are between the ages of 16 and 24 and are in need of emergency shelter and/or safe, stable housing, there is help for you.
