Hi, I’m Frances. It’s so nice to meet you.
After nearly a decade of work in mental health agencies, I decided to quit my highly-coveted government job in 2022 to pursue my dream of helping second-generation immigrants break generational cycles for good so that they find peace again.
Being a second-generation immigrant myself, with family members who came to Canada due to political trauma, I understand the complicated dynamics of having to navigate two cultures, honour the sacrifices of our immigrant parents, and toe the line of those high family expectations.
It’s no easy feat, but I’ve been through it. It’s completely doable.
I can help you access the generational trauma that weighs on you and heal the parts of you that carry the trauma.
I specialize in using experiential therapies which promote right and left brain integration, and mind and body integration - focusing, emotionally focused therapy and internal family systems.
My 10+ years of experience include treating individuals, groups, couples and families in areas including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and family conflict.
I’m also qualified to provide supervision as determined by the CRPO and have experience supervising masters-level students completing their practicums.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, tennis, reading and spending time with my husband and 3 children.
